We’re all inspired by content. However, imagine how it feels to create something, only to see someone else create something that feels… like the same content that you put out there.

I saw a comment on threads recently that inspired this, about how a woman had gone viral with a reel, and a few days later, someone took her reel, and caption and basically put out the same thing and also… went viral. The copy cat, had more followers (by tens of thousands), and the thread I saw was like, “if you’ve amassed that much of a following, why would you feel the need to copy others? How are you lacking originality?”

This week, we’re talking about just that. The pitfalls of plagiarizing and strategies to use the content that inspires you and your competitor research to inspire your own unique brand content without being a copycat. Let’s cultivate our own authentic and engaging online presences without yanking content from the FYP or Explore tab.

In a world saturated with content, your unique voice is your strongest asset. By avoiding the temptation to copy competitors and instead focusing on carving out your own niche, you can build stronger relationships with your audience, foster trust, and set the stage for long-term success. Remember, authenticity isn't just a buzzword—it's a powerful strategy for sustainable growth.
