A Frederick Tradition: Sailing through the Winter Solstice
Manage episode 383786897 series 3007949
As winter sets upon in the next month, Frederick has annual traditions that keep spirits high, when it is dark at 5 pm and cold. We were fortunate enough to connect with one of the key people behind the Boats on the canal or Sailing through the Winter Solstice. The Steeples and Peoples podcast sat down with Peter Kremers, who has played an intricate role in the growth and production of this Frederick original. Peter talks about his role in the organization and what else they do besides the boats. He shares with us when the boats will be launched, how charity is the main goal for this non-profit and how they have continued to grow since their inception in 2016. Get your warmest coat, gloves, and a hat ready to go visit this year’s version of Sailing through the Winter Solstice on the canal, as I am sure you will be delighted, as always!
