On today’s episode I caught up with a new friend and author of ‘Work Backwards’ , Tim Duggan. Tim founded a digital company known as ‘SameSame’ then eventually paved the way for a media company Junkee which is co-founded and helped to scale to great success. Despite realising his dreams, Tim found himself burnt and ready to quit. He knew something had to change and he began a 8 year journey towards selling his company, building his freelance business and concepting this book on how to work better. I loved the booked and was very excited to talk with Tim about some of my favourite topics, designing the life of you dreams and having a healthy relationship with your work. We discuss how it got so bad that we’ll prioritise work over family and our health, tips for restructuring your work- life balance, some really inspiring statistics about how the positive impact of changing just 20% of the way you work and so much more. Tim is very generous in offering his personal experience, advice and practical steps he took along the way. “It doesn’t matter in which industry or where: too many of us are overworked, disengaged and apprehensive about the future of work. In his life-affirming new book, bestselling author and founder Tim Duggan argues that we approach work and life the wrong way around.” Follow Tim’s work www.timduggan.com.au and www.workbackwards.com
