1:02:15There is huge potential for the leverage of data (and AI) to provide the most modern Citizen digital experiences, but that has to be balanced with managing deep legacy challenges and, of course, security risk. In a special episode this week, Dave and Rob talk to Craig Suckling, UK Government Chief Data Officer about modern public services, the challenges and opportunities in unleashing data in a safe and secure way, how AI fits into all of this and how Governments can lead the way in secure and ethical AI implementation. One of what I hope to be a few over the coming weeks, a quick run down of what its like to work at the Winter Olympics in Beijing 2022. This episode is the build up and how I got here and what it took to get in the country. During a challenging time for the world with a global pandemic on, China are hosting a major event. How do you host an event with thousands of people flying in from all over the world when travel has become such a difficult proposition? I answer that in the show. You will here about the unique set up and the challenges for the team here which everyone from the local staff to athletes must have done to be involved. I hope you enjoy the, Sports Photography Philosophy Podcast!…
Todays show is one my late but great boss who we lost in 2018, the legend Steve Rose use to call Meat and Potato’s. This is as close to regular shooting job a sports photographer like me has, a football slash soccer league match though this one is a little more special, so maybe we can add some gravy to this one hey Steve, as it’s a Bundesliga or German Football league game between the two giants in Germany, Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich. Its in the shorter show so more suited for you millennials out there who have no patience. I kid of course. I am recording this intro from small city outside of called Arequipa in their Air Force base in Peru where I will be covering the Dakar Rally for the next weeks, as I have shot a week already, so sorry for the sound quality on this and the outro. I will record some bits from here so will be doing my second podcast on this event, my favourite yet hardest assignment I have covered. Back to this show, I speak about the fans, working conditions at this ground I have experienced in the past, various other live assignments shooting for Getty from other photographers on the day and a not too happy co-worker who is usually such a happy chap but today, not so much. I hope you enjoy the, Sports Photography Philosophy Podcast! My site: www.allsportsnapper.com or on Twitter @allsportsnapper and #AllSportSnapper on Instagram…

As you will hear in the next 90 minutes, Andrew is a vastly experienced photographer who has captured many of the highs and lows of one of the greatest players of all time but this interview is not about Kobe, though he of course get a mention. We go back in time too where it all started from shooting landscapes with his father, to shadowing Sports Illustrated photographers, being a 4th assistant in a Lakers Photo shoot in the early 80s, setting up strobes or flashes in the roof of the stadiums to shoot live action basketball, training and leaving a legacy of other team photographers around the NBA, about representing your clients every time you pick up a camera and working with MIT to develop remote camera firing technology and yes, I call a basketball game a match sometimes so apologies for the wrong terminology. Sports Photography Philosophy Podcast No. 29. Today’s show is a special one for me. This was my first experience in Australia as a photographer for Getty Images. I spent 3 weeks working The Commonwealth Games held in the glorious Australian state of Queensland for Gold Coast 2018. For those not familiar with this event, it’s a multi-sport event in the similar vein as the Summer Olympics except the only countries that can compete are members states of the British Commonwealth. In the next hour, you will hear a pre-event photographers brief prior to the weightlifting, working with Clive Rose and new Nikon ambassador, Quinn Rooney in an outdoor pool bathed in Queensland sunshine, transmitting to editors in the media centre, shooting beach volleyball, badminton, gymnastic, track cycling, hockey and table tennis to name a few. I will also run through the positives and negatives of shooting a new sport each day and of course it wouldn’t be me if I didn’t get distracted and go on the occasional rant. Just a note, I mention the Winter Olympics podcast a few times in this show which I am still working on. Seems I recorded a lot more unintelligible crap than normal so its taking a bit longer to edit than planned but, without further ado, I hope you enjoy the, Sports Photography Philosophy Podcast!…
Todays is another one of the short and (you decide) sweets shows where you will hear about my experiences working at the Speed Skating World Allround Championships in the Amsterdam Olympic Stadium. When the sports calendar came out for 2018, this is one event which I was really looking forward too and as you will hear, it didn’t disappoint. I run through what I looked for, the working conditions, the differences between this and other speed skating events I have shot as well. I hope you enjoy the, Sports Photography Philosophy Podcast! Todays show you will hear about my experiences working at the Rolex Masters tennis tournament in Paris. From start to finish you will get a break-down of how I shot the event, what I look for and what is expected from me for our live client image needs as well as the occasional tangent. I also squeezed in a Champions League football match between PSG and Anderlecht on one of the nights. I hope you enjoy the, Sports Photography Philosophy Podcast!…
Todays show is nice short one with just a few recordings from my experience working at the friends arena in Stockholm at the 2017 Europa League Final. As usual, I mention remotes, how colleagues Julian Finney and Mike Hewitt got on and even some delightful comments from my great friend Alex Grimm. Nothing more to add or the intro will be longer than the show, I hope you enjoy my ramblings in the, Sports Photography Philosophy Podcast! Here are some links for feedback. Getty Images sports photographer, Dean Mouhtaropoulos or Allsportsnapper has an open discussion with the man that started the sports photography industry. This show is one of a two part special. I want to emphasise the word special on this show as my guest is the man who started the sports photography industry back in 1968. The now iconic image from the Mexico Olympics of Bob Beamon smashing the world record in the long jump shot by the one and only, Tony Duffy. A keen amateur photographer at time this image was the very beginning of the sport photography industry as we know it today. We speak about that photo the began it all, starting an agency from scratch, we mention some legends of the sports photography industry with some still in the game, shooting the Olympics in the 70s and 80s then becoming the Official Photographers in 1984, how the Paparazzi after the Death of Princess Diana affected the sports photographers at the time, making a photographer the photo chief at major events which changed the access and the industry and much much more.
