In this Episode Safa Otles ( a History Major at William Paterson University ) and I speak on Mental Health Issues and how effects us today. How has our culture accepted, or rejected the acknowledgment of mental health. Also, in this epidote we speak on gun control and how strict the laws are already and what we can do to improve. A lot of school shootings happen because of kids that have gone through rough times, however that is no justification... That is an observation. On the other hand, we can observe children who have gone through similar or much worse situations then that, yet they have never had violence tendencies. The world has been trying to turn them into criminals from birth but they prevail. Does that mean your personality is set from birth?
We transition onto Ted Bundy. Known as Theodore Robert Bundy, he was an American serial killer, kidnapper, rapist, burglar, and necrophile who assaulted and murdered numerous young women and girls during the 1970s and possibly earlier. After more than a decade of denials, he confessed to 30 homicides that he committed in seven states between 1974 and 1978.
Lastly, we speak on Daniel Petric, a convicted murderer from Wellington, Ohio. At the age of 16, Petric shot both of his parents over a disagreement about the video games HALO. His mother was killed and his father was badly injured, but recovered. He then blamed his father for shooting his mother, before trying to kill himself.
There are many key factors that play into someone becoming like this, but no matter what the causes are they make the conscious choice of becoming a killer. Let me know what you think in the comments below.
