Welcome to the Simplify Birth & Motherhood podcast where you can get clarity to empower your informed decision making during your pregnancy, for childbirth, in postpartum, and as you begin your motherhood journey. In this episode I will be talking about prenatal nutrition. From the moment we become pregnant we are always looking for ways to take care of ourselves as well as our growing baby. All we want is to have a healthy pregnancy, a successful childbirth, and a smooth postpartum recovery as mothers. Our prenatal nutrition is that something we as mothers can control and use as a resource for good for ourselves and our baby, after all you are eating for two.

Come learn as I talk about:

  • The importance of proper nutrition in pregnancy, for childbirth, and in postpartum recovery.
  • When the best time is to begin nourishing ourselves.
  • 5 key nutrients that are important for baby's development and growth and for a healthy pregnancy.
  • The MAJOR difference between folic acid and folate, and which one is best to consume.
  • Food and supplement brands that are helpful before pregnancy, during pregnancy, and in postpartum.
