In this episode, my guest is Krishnav Agarwal, a student who excelled at our University of California Irvine x Gifted Talented program. Krishnav shares his experiences of facing repeated setbacks from a young age and how this persistence in the face of failure has transformed his perspective. We explore his belief that failing early and often can be an asset, building resilience and preparing him to succeed in bigger pursuits.

Together, we discuss the idea of redefining success, the unending journey of self-improvement, and how viewing life as an “asymptote”—something you can always get closer to but never quite reach—helps maintain motivation. Krishnav’s insights on adapting to setbacks and using them as tools for personal growth are a refreshing take on a competitive mindset and offer listeners a unique perspective on embracing failure as part of the path to success.
