The tradition of eating a large meal, including a roast, after church on Sunday seems to have roots in the area of Yorkshire, which is where the name “Yorkshire Pudding” came from. as european settlers came to america...they brought the tradition with them. And, Compared to other types of beef, roast beef has low-calorie content, making it ideal for dieters.
