Congress is advancing legislation to do the job of funding the government, or at least in theory. Three major funding bills are being proposed that do not have a chance of being signed into law. Jacob Bogage from the Washington Post shares that these are negotiating positions that the Republican party is staking out. But in an election year, what chance is there that the government will actually be funded on time? Nearly no chance at all.
