In this episode, I sit down with trauma-informed healing mentor Roseanne Reilly, who’s here to share her unique insights on trauma, stress, and how they connect to our nervous systems—and our voices.

We talk about the real impact of chronic stress and trauma, and how they show up in everyday life, even in ways we might not expect.

Roseanne breaks down how the body reacts to stress, what it means to truly recover, and why aligning your values with your beliefs is key.

We also explore the fascinating role of the vagus nerve, and how it influences everything from your ability to communicate to your overall sense of well-being.

Whether you’re curious about how stress affects your voice or looking for ways to restore balance in your life, this conversation is full of practical wisdom.

Here are the highlights:

(4:13) Normalcy of Stress and Nervous System Health

(6:04) Understanding Trauma and Boundaries

(8:45) Somatic Approaches to Trauma Recovery

(11:39) The Role of the Vagus Nerve in Voice and Nervous System Health

More about Roseanne:

Throughout my life’s work I noticed how a dysfunctional nervous system stood as a major barrier to sustainable personal growth, healing, recovery and personal freedom.

I help people restore their nervous system, reducing stress related symptoms and emotional dysregulation. By realigning our inner worlds one changes how they explore healing and experience life.

I navigated my early professional life as a registered nurse with a keen focus on Health Promotion. Today my focus is exclusively on Nervous System Restoration.

I am a Trauma Informed Healing Facilitator and Educator, Advanced Practitioner of Applied Polyvagal Theory, Nervous System Restoration and Somatic Emotional Release Techniques.
