Today, I'm thrilled to introduce our guest, Matt Mikkelsen, a sound recordist, sound designer, and documentary filmmaker based in Duluth, Minnesota. With a career dedicated to recording, researching, and preserving natural soundscapes, Matt has collaborated with many big names like Skywalker Sound, Microsoft or Apple.
As the Executive Director of Wilderness Quiet Parks for Quiet Parks International, Matt champions the cause of saving quiet for the benefit of all life. He has also worked closely with Gordon Hempton, "The Sound Tracker," who founded Quiet Parks International. Join us as we delve into Matt's incredible journey and his mission to preserve the world's natural soundscapes.
