In this episode, we meet George Brooks, a mental health advocate and founder of his own nonprofit Metta Association. He is committed to advocacy and awareness for decriminalizing and destigmatizing mental illness, while working to reduce recidivism and help formers inmates reintegrate into society. We dive into all of this, as well as Black male mental health advocacy, equity, and the necessity of peer support.
