In episode 15 of our Mics and Minds series, we meet Mark Steven Porro, the author of "A Cup of Tea on the Commode”. At the age of 55, Mark transitioned from his carefree bachelor lifestyle to become a first-time caregiver for his ninety-year-old mother.

Mark has also demonstrated his entrepreneurial spirit by founding five non-profit companies, albeit unintentionally.

His debut memoir, "A Cup of Tea on the Commode" depicts a blend of sadness, sweetness, and humour highlighting his heartfelt efforts to fill his mother’s last years with love, laughter, and joy. The memoir has garnered significant praise from all renowned authors. Mark's ability to share his personal caregiving journey with honesty, humour, and heart has inspired many and underscored the tremendous effort involved in caregiving.
