Matteo Esposito, a playwright, student, and avid fan of theatre, is on a mission to make people think. In this chat, he shares his passion for telling stories that put a mirror up to society, inviting audiences to step out of their comfort zone and try on a new perspective. As a person with autism, he feels a particular responsibility to challenge misconceptions of those living with disabilities. His award-winning play “Sorting It Out” is an example of his talent for turning personal struggles into moving experiences of care and hope. We could say the same about this episode, in which Matteo’s faith that we could all make our dreams come true carries extra weight as his own drive, accomplishments, and energetic positivity are in the spotlight.
