The Change of Shift Podcast offers a unique learning perspective on the nursing profession. We all learn the hard way that nursing is not easy. Each episode Sean hears from Nurses, students, educators, and professional influencers who have learned to survive the real world of nursing and its big brother the healthcare community at-large. As a profession, the “change of shift” is a moment Nurses have transformed into a malleable coping mechanism and buffering tool. A tool created to not only ensure quality patient care, but to also cement self-reliance, self-preservation and good ole’ fashion survivability. Guest interviews help illuminate and explain these outliers and essential non-essentials sitting on the periphery of the profession. Each episode Sean and his guests offer survival tips, how-to hacks and honest opinions on how to not only survive nursing, but learn to thrive and maybe even love it. The Change of Shift podcast offers an edgy approach with a transparent brutal-honest attitude on what it takes to survive as a Nurse.
