Summary:

In 2022, the Libertarian Party was taken over by the Mises Caucus, promising to bring “the Ron Paul version” of libertarianism to the party. With its members occupying virtually positions within the party, including the Chair, it expected its preferred candidate Michael Rectenwald to win the nomination for president. However, non-Mises Caucus member Chase Oliver emerged victorious from the convention.

This was seen as a regression back to everything wrong with the party prior to 2022 and many prominent Libertarians have refused to support Oliver. But how far does he really stray from libertarian principles? Is there a libertarian case for Chase?

It’s also available in paperback here.

It’s priced at a pre-hyperinflation level so grab a few copies for friends if you can. It makes a great introduction to the government’s most economically damaging institution for liberals, conservatives, libertarians, socialists, and independents alike.

There is no binary “political spectrum.” There are not two worldviews in American politics but three. Learn more about where conservatives, liberals, and the founding fathers came from in Tom’s 2015 book, Where Do Conservatives and Liberals Come From?
