CONTENT WARNING: sexism, manipulation, stealing credit, Kevin Spacey.

We jump from a New York nightmare to a fairy tale, albeit one with some real power plays. This week’s movie is definitely lighter fare, but it's worth realizing just how empowering it was in its time. Secretaries didn’t have the chance to work their way up, and hierarchies only allowed for certain women to make their way to the boardroom. So it was a big deal to say that someone working through various menial positions could get the power to make million or even billion dollar deals. What makes this week’s movie great is the combination of its message, its attention to detail, and some truly fantastic chemistry between Harrison Ford and Melanie Griffith. Enjoy your new office as we watch Working Girl this week on Macintosh & Maud Haven’t Seen What?!
