As the 2025 season gets underway, how do we feel about the current state of the NBA? This week, we join the community in sharing our opinions of the league these days, from three-point barrages and lacklustre defense to zero-tolerance technical fouls and the pace of the game. While many of us are on the same page, there are definitely some differing views! In a similar vein, a comment from Charles Barkley prompts us to revisit the topic of load management; a practice that seems both myopically counterproductive and decisively anti-fan. We also discuss some other recent issues, including WNBA blunders, unwelcome advertising, pushy pop-ups, so-called gurus, and a truly terrible Dwyane Wade statue.
