Special guests included: Julie Higgs (2-time individual USA National Champion & 7-time IUSA World Record holder), Nicole Burko (2nd Place Women's Team 2021 Worlds & 2-time IUSA World Record holder), Shelby Peterson (3-time individual USA Freshwater National Champion, 2nd Place Women's Freshwater Worlds 2021 & 6-time IUSA World Record holder), coach Joe Fernandez (captain of the men's team in 2015, 2016, and 2018), and Susan Pauer (Media Relations for Team USA).
The group talked about the sustainability of spearfishing, getting into the sport for novices, how to qualify for the US team, the various world records the women hold, and more.
