このエピソードでは、/dʒ/ /ʒ/ /z/の違いをどうやって聞いたらいいかをシェアしました。この３つ、私も長いこと分かりませんでした！発音矯正のレッスンをThe American Accent Guideの著者Beverly A. Lujanから受けましたが、その時にビバリーが私のAsianという発音を聞いて「舌を下げて」と言っていましたが、それでもこの３つの子音はよくわからず。
UCLAで音声学を学んだ後も、まだわかっていなかったのですが、やっと最近、長い月日を経て、この違いが明確にわかるようになりました。
この３つは本当に混乱します。ということで、アシスタント発音コーチをしてくださっているEmiさんからも同じような質問を受けたので、私とEmiさんの対談から違いを学んでみましょう。
私もしばらくわからなかったことなのでこうやって今では説明できるようになりました。わからなかったからこそ、どうしてわからないかがわかるし、どうやって説明したらわかるかもわかるようになってきました（笑）
