Many Christians have the wrong idea about Biblical modesty and think it applies only to women. Guess what? We don't think it does and we're going to talk about why it doesn't and why it applies to both man and women and how it has to do with more than just the clothes you wear on your body. Come and join us today for the following discussion:

  • Discussion of the 4 aspects of Biblical characters that incorporate modesty.
  • Women are most often the subject and debate (wrongly) of modesty in and amongst our churches. Modesty effects everyone: men, women, & children.
  • 1 Tim. 2:8-10 discussion.
  • Modern day discussion of the a relative situation that is similar in today's cultural similarity in the "dress code" of today's workplace.
  • Discussion of today's version of 'purity culture' and how it has taken the Biblical text too far.
  • How to be and dress in a respectable manner to those around us.
  • Discussion of what it means to be a 'stumbling block.'
  • What it means to be a leader in a church and how we should dress in that role that is respectable to the role of a Christian.
  • What does it mean to respect the culture of which you are in.
  • 1 Cor. 9:19-22 & 10:31 discussion
  • When you see someone who is dressed in a way you feel inappropriate ... discussion on our motives.
