Hey SatsCrew,
You don't have to look far to realize that in our current society, we have rent seekers far in wide across all industries. Rent seekers get to positions where they can exploit the efforts of others, and once they do this they milk it for as long as they can.
They often don't add much value in these rent-seeking positions and are bureaucrats through and through. In the U.S. we have far too many in this parasitic class extracting value from the true creators, workers, and those trying to improve the system for the better. In today's podcast, I go over how from my view Bitcoin can help cut out the rent seekers of society. Specifically, I go over:

  • What is a rent seeker?
  • Power, status, and money create rent seekers in society
  • To find these you don’t have to look far
  • Corporate examples - middle management
  • Artist examples - record labels or music labels
  • The rent seeker doesn’t create anything, or put in blood sweat, and tears
  • They often reap the benefit without putting in the proof of work
  • Bitcoin seeks to disintermediate non-value-added positions from society
  • Creators and value creators in the future will directly seek capital benefits for freedom of expression and creation they go through
  • Bitcoin and incentive structures
  • How do you see incentive structures changing in the future and do you think the “parasitic/rent-seeking class” will cease to exist or in a limited capacity?

Do you think Bitcoin will change the incentive structure change due to its deflationary nature? At a minimum do you think rent-seeking will reduce in the future in a value 4 value economy? I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts!
Best Regards,
SatsMate
