A common error among Christians today is to suppress the Truth in favor of demonstrating "love." We avoid the contentious and controversial issues of our day in the name of loving our neighbor. However, truth and love emanate from the same Source. Jesus is perfect Truth and perfect Love embodied. This is why we cannot separate them with doing damage to both. Truth and love are perfectly united in Christ! For the Christian, love does not war against the truth - love reigns through truth. Only a love of the truth will keep us from deception.
