Skip E. Lowe, who hosted a weekly celebrity talk show in Los Angeles for more than 35 years, well-known personalities to appear on the TV program, usually in the twilight of their careers.

But the ever-ebullient, sometimes befuddled Lowe — who was the inspiration for the Martin Short comic character Jiminy Glick

Still, Lowe, who long struggled to find his niche in show business, did the bare-bones program week after week. “He was on television,” his friend and publicist Alan Eichler said, “and he never gave up thinking something big was going to happen.” Skip E. Lowe passed away in 2014.

George Albert "Scotty" Bowers was an American Writer who was a United States Marine and, from the 1940s to the 1980s, a Hollywood pimp. Stories of his exploits circulated for many years and were alluded to in books such as Hollywood Babylon. Bowers’ claims were met with both praise and skepticism. Scotty wrote his life story in his book, "Full Service" which was a best seller.
