This episode does a deep-dive in the Friends With Benefits Relationship realm exposing how women benefit more than men. The rationale behind the argument is that women may set the terms and the benefit presumed is sex for the man. However, the premise for the relationship that a woman may establish when selecting a relationship with this caliber is to have the power while enjoying the sexual benefits. The man is perceived to enjoy the sexual benefit while being powerless because he did not establish the terms of the exchange. It is not uncommon for them to have no intentions of ever being with the person that they're in a FWB relationship with on a permanent basis. The benefit usually favors the woman and many women that get out of long-term marriages or relationships may opt for this so that they can have a layer of protection when it comes down to their feelings. Avoiding the logistical headache of trying to manage a relationship may not be on their agenda and therefore they're looking for something a little bit lighter with their in control and have less to concern himself with when it comes to being accountable to another party. They lay down the rules and therefore participants must comply. These relationships have a very short life span and in many cases very little substance beyond sex.
