Welcome back, everyone! Are you ready to be equipped for Eucharistic Mission?

In this opening episode of Season 3 for the REVIVE Podcast, Sr. Alicia Torres and Tanner Kalina discuss “Relationship, Identity, Mission” AKA RIM

Before we can really embrace the unique mission God has in store for us, we need to fully embrace our own personal relationship with him. Otherwise, we run the risk of forming our identities around our mission rather than our own sonship or daughterhood of the Father.

In this conversation, Sr. Alicia and Tanner encourage you to check out:

  • Hosea 7
  • Isaiah 49:15
  • 1 Peter 5:10
  • Henri Nouwen’s 5 Lies of Identity
    • I am what I have
    • I am what I do
    • I am what people think of me
    • I am no greater than my worst moments
    • I am no less than my best moments
  • & this GEM of a quote from St. Bernard of Clairvaux: “The [one] who is wise, therefore, will see his life as more like a reservoir than a canal. The canal simultaneously pours out what it receives; the reservoir retains the water till it is filled, then discharges the overflow without loss to itself ... Today there are many in the Church who act like canals, the reservoirs are far too rare ... You too must learn to await this fullness before pouring out your gifts, do not try to be more generous than God.”
