Like God has forgotten you? Like you’re all alone in your grief? Like you’re truly hopeless? The psalmist in Psalm 88 has felt your pain, your loneliness, & and your sorrow. Even Michael Stipe from the 90s pop/rock band R.E.M. knows “everybody hurts … sometimes”. Suffering and hurt is universal in this life. But what does this have do do with Jesus? And isn’t this story supposed to have a happy ending? Well it does, but we have to dig a little deeper into this psalm to find it.
