Barry Burgan joins us to talk about music, life and the economic and cultural impact of festivals and the Arts. Barry is Professor of Management, Deputy Dean, Director of the BBT MBA, Bond Business School. And, has a successful academic career, including the Head of the University of Adelaide Business School and a key role in consulting to public and commercial. We discuss a wide range of topics, including Barry's area of particular interest, the measurement of the value of our social and cultural infrastructure, including the arts and sports sectors - and have worked closely with groups like the Screen Producers Association of Australia, SA Film Corporation, Adelaide Festival and Australian Music Association. This is an interesting discussion about the value of Arts and cultural events on economic indicators such as jobs, as well as the cultural impact on building more liveable and enjoyable cities. Real People is a podcast hosted by Jason Dunstone, the founder and managing director of Square Holes. Subscribe to Real People on your favourite podcast player.
