Raw Gypsy Not Quite Hippie

In this episode, I have the amazing opportunity to visit with Dr. Brooke Goldner, MD. We discuss how Dr. Goldner was diagnosed, at 16, with Systemic Lupus Nephritis and Stage 4 Kidney Disease. Instead of living a teenage dream life, this young lady was fighting for hers. An experimental procedure with chemo therapy (to suppress and jump start her immune system) was administered and did save her life. Years later, in medical school and while in her residency, the Lupus struck again,. This time creating an anti-body that would cause her to create blood clots and later mini-strokes that would almost kill her. Dr. Goldner, still did not give up. She graduated medical school, by sheer kismet, found her soulmate, Thomas Tadlock, who just happened to be a successful, Celebrity and personal trainer. Fell in Love and was engaged. As Dr. Goldner put it she "wanted to look L.A. hot for her wedding, So she asked Thomas to do what he does best train her. As a vegetarian already, cheese, dairy and other saturated fats were also removed from her diet, add hyper-nourishing raw vegetables and leafy greens. BOOM! a miracle happened! Not only did she get the results she was looking for (physically) her Lupus went away as well. She has been Lupus free ever since.
