There is a shortage of talent right now. Business owners struggle to find workers, leaving them in various difficult positions. They are either offering too much to attract (only to rescind them because they could not afford it) or tolerating their existing ones with bad work behavior to avoid losing them. Either way, the business is hanging on a tightrope.
