In a ranging conversation with the inimitable Eric Coppolino of Planet Waves FM and Chiron Return, we reflect upon the spiritual hazards of the digital medium. Exemplified in recent years, the intensity of that interval reflected an initial consummation of a process long unfolding, but with which we must now reckon. Within that broader thematic context, we also explore the role of science in public discourse, the lamentable state of journalism, and the importance of concrete place and relationship, reflected in the phot by Eric which is this video's thumbnail... (Correction: In the course of the interview, I identify the theory of the phlogiston as having currency through the 19th c. This is an error. The theory was formulated in the 17th c. and fell into discredit due to the work of Lavoisier in the 18th c.)
