Derek S. Jeffreys is a professor of Humanities, Religion and Philosophy at the University of Wisconsin, Green Bay. He did both his B.A. and Ph.D. at the University of Chicago, and has written books on St. John Paul II, ethics and torture and ethics and solitary confinement.
