It's another interview episode. This time we're joined by Elizabeth Day. We talk about her first newspaper column from when she was twelve, the ethics of book reviewing, and how a cop took Mic's copy of The Communist Manifesto.

The column we sacrificed to the journalism gods this week – an ode to the writing of Martin Amis by James Marriott – is unfortunately, since it's in The Times, is behind a paywall. Here's an archive link if you want to read it.

Elizabeth's new book, Friendaholic, is out now!

And she also recommended the novel Everything's Fine by Cecelia Rabess, which is out in June, but available for pre-order now, and the Netflix docudrama, Full Swing.

Music and sound effects: Intro: 'NewsPound' - Russell Garner Outro: 'Children of England' - Curious Machines Htranchant_01 by iut_Paris8 (freesound.org): By Attribution 4.0 License under Creative Commons.
