Stat Ventures is a program that scouts technology from innovators outside of government to improve data quality at the Census Bureau. Highlights 🌐 Stat Ventures is a program that sources technology from outside innovators to improve data quality at the Census Bureau. 🏛️ The Census Bureau is seeking technological solutions to geolocate addresses in rural and remote areas more efficiently. 💡 The Address Geolocation Challenge is open to organizations and the public to submit ideas and solutions. 💰 Winners of Phase One of the challenge receive a monetary award and progress to Phase Two. 📅 Phase Two of the challenge is yet to be announced, but interested participants can stay updated on the Census Bureau’s website. 🌍 Phase Three involves testing road maps and prototypes in real-world scenarios, with the potential for additional funding and adoption by the Census Bureau. 🤝 US-based entities and individuals are eligible to participate in the challenge, excluding Census Bureau and federal contractor employees. About FedGeoDay: FedGeoDay is the premier annual event for the open source geospatial community within the U.S. federal government. It brings together federal program managers, technology leaders, industry partners, and open-source enthusiasts to share ideas, showcase innovations, and foster collaboration around open geospatial technologies, data, and practices. FedGeoDay highlights the growing importance of open source in building resilient, efficient, and collaborative geospatial solutions for the federal government and beyond.
