In this interview, we talked to Abby Stadnyk, a journalist with the Perilous Chronicle. She talked to us about resistance in Saskachewan jails in a context where there were mounting cases of Covid19 in the prisons. From late November 2020 until the last week of January 2021, prisoners wrote letters, went on hunger strike, and rioted against the lockdown conditions imposed by jail administrations. Solidarity actions on the outside supported the prisoners' actions, but in the end, the government did nothing. Here's the whole story.
