This process, finally, let us drive external traffic to our Amazon listings and make it profitable, while increasing our search term ranking.
Welcome, guys. Today, we are super excited to be talking to you about something we've been working on really heavily for, what? The last seven months or so, Sean.
What we've kind of figured out is a way to finally be able to drive external traffic.
And when we say external traffic, we're talking about buying Facebook ads, buying YouTube ads, Google Ads, anything that's external to Amazon, and driving that traffic back to Amazon at a profitable rate, Meaning, we can increase our search term rankings while Profitable. This is a game changer, Sean?
Yeah. Definitely what we're talking about is our what we call our Amazon A zero B funnel AOV. Obviously, Seth being average order value.
You see, most sellers, Amazon sellers, we seem to be in tune to, or at least we somewhat believe the Amazon will reward us for external traffic, but the problem is that we're paid too much for these clicks.
When you can control the customer's ordering experience, then you can control the order value. This is what I am talking about when I say AOV funnel.
It, it's a, it's, it's just a simple but smart ways to bring up the average order value in your customers shopping cart.
And that's what we want to dive into, Right, so, most sellers have tried this in their business if you've been around a while, you've, you've got the bright idea? Hey, if I could just buy traffic from Facebook. If I could buy traffic from Google and have them checkout on my Amazon listings. I'm gonna get all these benefits, I'm gonna make more sales, I'm gonna increase my ranking. You just, you think that that's a good idea, and it really is, but the first thing you have to do, to make this profitable is you have to bring up the average order value, and I'm gonna give you an example here in a minute.
But if you didn't know this, Amazon gives external traffic a ton of weight when it comes to, they basically have like a point system for your rank.
And if you can get high quality, external traffic to come and land on your listing, regardless of if it converts, are not, then you move up the search results. You get more organic presence in the rankings. So it's really, really valuable.
The problem is that that traffic is expensive so in the past Amazon what sellers were try this and give up and then they would skip to the easiest path Which was just to give their products away using rebates, right? We've all done that.
Where we got a little bit lazy, But now Amazon really has said no, no more rebates.
They put it in writing do not do rebates anymore. And it's actually a good thing, Sean, I think, because it forces Amazon sellers to get better at real marketing.
Exactly.
You know, we often overlook this fact set, but Amazon as a whole uses its own form of what we may call a sales funnel.
And they do that with our frequently bought together section, what they call subscribe and save. Or, you've seen versus at all three at a car. that's also known as, buy it with, or, you know, products related to this item.
Amazon's intention is to increase revenue and customer experience. so they know, based on historical sales data, that anyone who purchased this item also purchased this item and this item.
So not only does that help you make a better buying decision, or a more informed decision, rather, but it also helps Amazon increase revenue. So with the ... funnel strategy, you&
