In this episode, I am joined by Apar Gupta and Vasu. Apar is a practicing lawyer who has worked extensively on free speech, censorship and defamation. He also played a key role in the #SaveTheInternet campaign. He tohtally lawyered us by explaining how censorship is treated in India. We also talk about the relevance and impact of criminal defamation suits, how they are used to have a 'chilling effect' and what might be the solution to prevent misuse of defamation lawsuits.
