The ants are spreading, but to defend his world, Tenjian must work with the man who slaughtered his family. In the Bein war, Tenjian and a group of his extended family were captured by Cherex and his men, who butchered and ate his kin, leaving only Tenji and his father alive. Now, five years later, new invaders are determined to suppress magic across the entire world and bring all of Reyth under their control. To find a defence, Tenji’s people must work with their ancient enemies, and Tenji must face the man who still haunts his nightmares.
