Welcome to the latest edition of the Providence Journal's College Basketball Podcast. This is Bill Koch, sports writer for the Journal. I'm joined by WPRI and Fox Providence sports director Morey Hershgordon and Nick Coit, the ABC6 sports director and weekend co-host of Cordischi and Coit on WEEI-Providence.

The Friars handled Georgetown and are bound for a Saturday date with St. John's at Madison Square Garden (1:45). Providence will get a taste of the atmosphere ahead of next month's Big East Tournament.

Bryce Hopkins and Cumberland native Tyler Kolek are both popping up on lists for national awards (17:05). Both have been named to the Naismith watch list and are in the running for Karl Malone and Bob Cousy honors, respectively.

Tammi Reiss celebrated her 100th game at the University of Rhode Island with a Wednesday victory over George Washington (20:40). The Rams continue rolling along atop the Atlantic 10 and are building toward a major showdown with Massachusetts next week.

Brown remains in Ivy League contention thanks to a weekend sweep of Dartmouth and Harvard (32:00). The Bears host Cornell in a critical Saturday tip and look to remain in the running for a top-four spot in the conference.

Bryant ended its recent cold snap on the road by dismissing Albany (42:30). The Bulldogs are battling for a favorable seed in America East and doing so thanks to multiple contributors -- Charles Pride key among them, and not just with his production on the floor.

Lastly, we take a look at the Super Bowl and take Morey's temperature regarding his Philadelphia Eagles (52:30). The big game kicks off Sunday evening and he'll be sweating out every snap.

Thanks again to everyone for listening.
