On this episode of the On Air MOBCAST, we are joined by former Major League pitcher Ray Burris as he reflects on the inspirational struggle he endured during his rise from the city of Idabel, Oklahoma to being drafted by the Chicago Cubs. Burris is currently a rehabilitation pitching coach for the Philadelphia Phillies. The objective of the BHM zoom series was to allow staff members that have secondary jobs as teachers to have their students participate in an interview with former and current players. Burris gives great insight and detail on the motivational factors throughout his career and also tributes his transition into professional coaching to former MLB commissioner Bud Selig.
