Not since the Second World War has Europe and the rest of the world faced a bigger crisis than we do right now with COVID-19 but how will it affect the economic ideologies of Europe and America? In this episode of the podcast series “Nyt fra Europa” (News from Europe) Professor and Nobel Laureate in Economics, Joseph E. Stiglitz, talks about how the EU and it’s member states should prioritize and organize the economic response to COVID-19 and lay the foundation for systematic changes. Maybe this crisis can be used to create an economy that works for the people and for the planet. How are different countries like the US and Denmark responding to the crisis and how does this reflect on the different ideologies? And how will the crisis affect the European cohesion? Tune in and find out as the professor gives us a tour de force of his visions on how to rewrite the rules of European economy. This podcast is moderated by Kristian Weise Director of Oxfam-Ibis and produced and edited by Julie Rosenkilde and the team in Nyt Europa (New Europe) with financial support from Europa-Nævnet.
