PROMISE staff and families had the opportunity to spend quality time with each other for a series of Saturdays at Queens Metropolitan High School. Students explored jobs, computers, and the basics of cooking while their parents got to know each other in a support group. Staff talked with parents about special education issues, social security income benefits, housing assistance, and more. Families including Khadija and her son Mohamed appreciated the knowledge and interaction as PROMISE staff enjoyed getting to know them better.
