Life circumstances change, people change, major life events happen. Do you ever find yourself worrying how, or even if, your friendships will survive? Adapting to the various twists and turns of relationships can be difficult and sometimes we accidently wound each other. One of these nerve-inducing events is becoming a mom. If you're a woman in your 30s, you've likely experienced this already. Either you get pregnant with your first, or your best friend does, and the two of you wade into uncharted territory of adult friends with kids. Sometimes there is a natural drifting apart, sometimes there is a fallout, but always there is a shift as everyone settles into a new normal. So, what's the best way to support your friend? How do you keep your friendship alive and healthy while new priorities and new schedules shift into place?
This week on the Nonsexual Soulmates Podcast we discuss these topics. As a new mom and a continuing DINKWAD (dual income no kids with a dog), we thought it was a great way to reflect on what we need to feel supported and what we can do to boost each other.
Let us know your thoughts- what did we miss? Any disagreements?
Thank you, as always, for listening, and we will see you next Tuesday.
