Ep 33: Why Youth Theatre is so important for young people and behind the scenes of their play 'Metamorphoses'
Manage episode 373337333 series 2925953
In this podcast episode we talk to Tony Casement, Head of Creative Communities and some of our brilliant young people from the Senior Youth Theatre -
Kaycee Totten, Victoria Zietek, Leo Maynard, Jace Palmer, Fin Adams. Charlotte Cathcart and Joe Hullis.
The young company talk about why they first joined the youth theatre and what it means to them personally, the journey they have been on, and what they aspire to do in the future.
They also reveal a couple of highlights from their forthcoming show, Metamorphoses, and talk about the how the show is a retelling of stories we probably know so well - but how timeless they are and still 100% relevant today.
Joe Hullis comments "It's the thrill of storytelling. Our generation has a lot to say and this can be transformed onto the stage through this play".
