Today on the show I’m sitting down with local singer-songwriter, Mike Smith; I’m hellbent on giving Mike Smith his due in this episode and possibly making him blush beneath this perfectly sculpted salt and pepper beard. Though his modesty is like a warm handshake on a cold winter afternoon in the local park or akin to grandmas homecooked meatballs, his music is a storyboard that covers a lot of the past, present and possibly future of the local music scene and is an untold chronical that deserves to be heard. As someone who shined quite brightly in his day and now enjoys passing the limelight to a new generation who wishes to kiss the sun, I can say with 100% certainty that I understand what makes Mike Smith tick. From the Ripovs to his Paper Hearts, Mike Smith has done it all from punk rock to country and I couldn’t be happier to have him on the show. Join me in welcoming Mr. Smith to the gosh darn MOG!
