Meaghan Johnston is currently the milk supply manager for Bega based at the Koroit Site. This is Part 2 of her incredible story!!!
In Part 1 she gave an insight into her experiences getting into the dairy industry, her passion for Murray Goulburn, what the industry looked like in those days, the impacts of deregulation and the drought and sets the scene for the eventual demise of Murray Goulburn. In this conclusion she shares the impacts of the milk crash, how she dealt with the fall out, the change to Saputo and then eventually her move to Bega. She also openly shares about what her role as a milk supply officer looks like, how she’s built relationships with her farmers and gives an insight into the current environment with brokers and processors and the various challenges facing the industry at the moment.
