Hey there Surfers and Beachgoers! Hang loose and get ready for your New York surf zone forecast!
Today in Kings (Brooklyn) and Southern Queens, we've got a high rip current risk until 6 PM this evening. Watch out! The surf height is around 3 feet, so catch those waves carefully.
You can expect cloudy weather with a chance of rain, high temperatures in the upper 60s, and an east wind around 15 to 20 miles per hour. Better bring your umbrella!
Over in Southern Nassau, the story remains the same with a high rip current risk, 3-feet surf height, and temps in the upper 60s. East winds are blowing at 15 to 20 miles per hour.
Moving to Southwestern Suffolk, the rip current risk remains high, with the surf at 3 feet and a slightly cooler high temperature in the mid 60s. Winds are blowing out of the east at a brisk 20 m.p.h.
Finally, in Southeastern Suffolk, the rip current risk is high, surf height around 4 feet, and mostly cloudy skies. The water temperature is in the mid-60s, with an east wind around 15 m.p.h.
Remember, always stay safe near the water! Have a flotation device with you, swim near a lifeguard, and if caught in a rip current, go with the flow and don't fight it!
That's it for your New York surf zone forecast. Catch you on the next wave!
