Hey there, fellow surfers and beach lovers! Time to catch the wave with your New York Surf Zone Forecast from the National Weather Service. Let's dive in and see what's up for today!
Starting off at Kings (Brooklyn), be aware of a high rip current risk until this evening, with surf heights around 3 feet. The surf temperature is in the upper 60s, so grab your wetsuit! Expect cloudy skies and a chance of rain, with temperatures reaching the upper 60s. Winds coming from the East at around 15 mph. Remember to stay safe in the water!
Moving over to Southern Queens next, where we have a similar setup - high rip current risk, 3-foot surf height, and upper 60s water temps. The East wind at 15 to 20 mph might give you a good push on the waves. Keep an eye out for those tides and be cautious out there!
Heading down to Southern Nassau, the conditions remain the same - high rip current risk, 3-foot waves, and cloudy skies. Grab your board and get ready to ride some waves with temperatures in the upper 60s. Don't forget to check out those tides if you're planning a beach day today!
Crossing over to Southwestern Suffolk, the rip current risk is high with the surf temperature in the upper 60s. The surf height is about 3 feet, and the winds are coming strong from the East at 20 mph. Keep an eye on those tides and be prepared for a windy session out on the water!
Last but not least, Southeastern Suffolk is also under a high rip current risk with around 4-foot waves. The surf temperature is in the mid-60s, and it's mostly cloudy with a chance of rain. Embrace the waves and enjoy the beach vibes while staying safe in these conditions.
Remember, always be cautious near the water, especially with those high rip currents. Keep an eye out for each other and have a blast out there! This has been a Quiet Please Studios audio creation with the help of AI. Please subscribe and never miss a swell! Thank you for listening.
