Manage episode 328146516 series 2952241
Money Talks – a series of interviews with Liam Halligan, Economics and Business Editor of GB News.
In this episode, Liam talks to Howard Cox, Founder of the campaign group Fair Fuel UK. A pharmacologist by training, Howard built a successful career as a consultant to small businesses, specialising in technological and logistical issues. Over recent years, he has teamed up with the Road Haulage Association to lobby against levels of UK fuel taxation. In this wide-ranging interview, Howard stands up for what he calls “long suffering UK motorists. He also argues, despite being, in his words, “instinctive pro-business and free markets”, that the government should now impose a windfall tax on large oil and gas companies.
