#51 From Special Forces to Saving Lives and Stopping Evil with Jeremy Locke
Manage episode 456042421 series 3548702
Jeremy M. Locke’s journey spans two decades of military service, starting in the U.S. Army Infantry and culminating as a Special Forces Communications Sergeant and Team Sergeant with the 5th Special Forces Group at Fort Campbell, KY. During five combat deployments, he honed his skills in austere environments, amassing nearly five years of overseas service.
In 2019, Jeremy’s career took a pivotal turn when he responded to Hurricane Dorian alongside his now-wife, Britnie Turner. The experience reignited his sense of purpose and revealed the unique impact that military skills could bring to disaster relief efforts. Motivated by this, the couple transformed Aerial Recovery into a veteran-powered non-profit organization, focusing on humanitarian missions.
Since 2021, Jeremy has utilized his expertise to lead rescue missions for trafficking victims and implement training operations worldwide. His passion for helping fellow veterans led to the creation of the Heal the Heroes Initiative, a year-long healing program that repurposes struggling veterans and first responders. Upon completion, participants can train as Humanitarian Special Operators, conducting anti-human trafficking and disaster response missions under Jeremy’s guidance.
Locke’s vision and leadership continue to drive Aerial Recovery’s mission, showcasing the profound impact that a veteran-powered organization can make on the world.
